Set realistic goals. Don't set your mind to dry fat free six pack in the beginning. I am not saying that it isn't possible, rather set goal to some definition through out your whole body.
Beautiful six-pack requires not only lots of crunches but almost fat free, sugar free diet.
Usually over all body fitness is achievable with regular exercise. 

Don't cut yourself completely from the foods that you like, it will only make you break and fail. You can not control your cravings for junk food or chocolate or what ever you are craving, BUT you CAN control how much you eat of that food. One doughnut will not hurt anyone, but a dozen - will.
