Benefits of exercising at home or anywhere it is convenient:
Saves time. You don't have to drive to the gym and drive back, you only need as much time as your workout last. ( 20-30 min).
Saves money. There are no monthly membership or enrollment fees to pay.
No pressure from people that exercise around you.
No distractions. When I workout I like to just workout and not socialize or get distracted.
You can workout any time even when the gym is closed.
The only reason why I would go to the sports club if I want to workout with bigger weights that I don't have at home, or if I want to workout very specific muscle with specific piece of equipment.
You can always get more weights if you feel that you already outgrown body weight exercises.
I use different resistance bands or versatile equipment to intensify my workouts.
